Cooper w/ SSP: rear sway bar

Is the Cooper's sports suspension plus rear sway bar identical to that of the Cooper S? Does anyone know the part number(s)?

Yes: SS 16mm - 33556754818
SS+ 17mm - 33556754819
both take the same bushing.
for the front SS is 22.5mm and SS+ is 24mm with different
bushings. The SS+ struts are the same as the Cooper S
struts. The springs are determined by the car weight
rather than whether it's SS or SS+.

Found this in a MUCH earlier MINI2 thread:

"The Sport and Sport Plus suspensions for the Mini Cooper shows different front and rear struts/shocks and different front and rear anti-roll bars according to the BMW parts technician in our Mini of Murray, Utah Mini Club. Springs do vary slightly with optional equipment, but are the same between Sport and Sport Plus. Mounting points are the same as well. Rear anti-roll bar bushings are the same, but the fronts are different.

SO - can I add the rear sway ( anti-roll as we say in UK )bar to the Sports suspension and get better handling but still a nicer ride than the SS+ ( Which is way to hard for the old roads I will be using the car on ).

Thanks for the responses and information, cristo and Paul.
Apparently, the S bar will fit a Cooper if you tighten it down. Many S owners are upgrading to an aftermarket adjustable rear sway bar, so it's possible to pick up a used S bar for a reasonable price. It seems like all the aftermarket sway bars fit both the Cooper and S, since there is only one part number per bar type. I will contact my dealer about the Cooper ssplus bar.
