Cool Wow........

Got my amazing new MC today....wow...what an amazing car

Only done 80 miles so far, keeping my revs below 4.5!

Highlight:

Guys in a Saubaru Impretza giving me the thumbs up sitting at a set of traffic lights!!! Amazing drive!

Lowlights...unfortuantely there is 2 things that have took a very very small bit of enjoyment out of today..

Noticed a small scratch on the back quater next to the drivers door when I got home its about this size -----

And there is an anoying rattling noise from the clock everytime drive on a harsh surface - Has anyone else had this?

Anyway took back to the dealer and they were very apoligetic about the scratch and they said they will fix it by either buffing it or respraying a small section , do you guys think that it is worth it for a scatch that size?

They also had a bash at fixing the rattling noise coming from the roof (front of clock) but only managed to reduce it - said they would try again when they repaired the scratch.

But I must say it has been a great day despite these 2 things....

Are we nearly there yet?

Got mine as well today. So far so good, no probs. Started off treating it with kid gloves but now struggling to keep under 4.5k revs. Haven't exceeded it yet though but the next 1200 miles or so could seem v.long.

Anyway, 10 weeks of waiting finally over. It's fantastic, just as good as I'd hoped it would be.

Passed 3 other MINIs this evening though and not a single acknowledgement. Oh well. The kids in my street liked it though! So, if you see a BRG/W 53 plate MC with sunroof in Fife, give us a wave.

I'll hopefully post some pics in the next few days - too busy driving this evening to take any!

Cheers

JJP

Hiya - first post here - walked into a MINI dealers two weeks ago and fell in love with one of eight they just had delivered from the factory without orders for. These last few days seemed to have dragged by but finally picked up my Cosmos Black/CB Cooper with Chilli pack yesterday. Haven't been able to stop grinning since! I now feel really sorry for those people that have had to wait months - I'd be tearing my hair out! I can see myself heading down to the Dales next weekend to ogle everyone else's MINIs.....

Mine isn't, it was built during the first week in August. I'm not too bothered, the car is great. I would quite like to have the digital speed readout though - I keep finding myself going quicker than I think!!

Hopefully the next few weeks will pass by in no time for you. Have fun when you get it - I can't stop smiling in mine.

Cheers
