Just got my Mini last night!

I just picked up my mini cooper (CR/W, w bonnet stripes, 16" wheels, chrome kit on bumpers, spoiler). All I can say is I am overwhelmed by this car. Acceleration was more than I had hoped for, no stumble out of first like others have reported. Of course, the handling is like you are on rails. I had read the posts about the harsh ride with the runflat tires, but in my opinion this car gives a very smooth ride. Very fun to drive, people yelling and waving at me. It even brought a smile to the face of my brother-in-law, who is a big fan of big ol' pick-up trucks and the like.
Funny thing, in the 2 months since I ordered I agonized over whether I specced the car right, but when I saw it amongst the other minis I thought mine was the coolest there (my wife says I BETTER think that, but I honestly do). Of course, I am probably biased on this.

P.S.
Anybody who is considering buying, the white wheels are awesome, even with some brake dust on them, and the bonnet stripes rule! I got the tartan red interior with the silver trim inside, looks fantastic in my opinion (again, I am probably biased). You don't have to have a ton of options to have a fun car (of course, it probably wouldn't hurt!)

I've got white whites and they look truely superb
Mine got dirty only after 20 miles of ownership though
First clean will be tomorrow though and then I can finally judge if I was wise in going for the x-lites

Really glad to hear you like it cause my CR/W Cooper with white 16" wheels and spoiler will be here in about two weeks. I too have agonized over whether I ordered the right combination. I was trying to keep the bottom line low while specing out a neat looking car. I didn't get the bonnet stripes partly because of a misunderstanding on my part. I orginally thought they were only available to be installed at the dealer. After it was too late I found out that they were an $80 factory option, ($300 dealer installed). Anyway, there are plenty of places to get them and install them myself. Your post really makes me want my MINI to get here NOW!

Plus there are more aftermarket options and you get the placement you want.

Glad I alleviated your concerns, Robert. I will guarantee you the car looks sharp, even w/o the stripes, because when I picked mine up there was one just like yours there (w/o stripes). It is going to be worth your wait!

I just posted pics of the interior. I went against the advice of my salesperson, she said I should go with the anthracite. But I stuck to my guns and I think it looks good. Anybody else think the anthracite might have looked better?
