England Traction or not???

Can you help me?

I've got a Cooper on order, due around the 15th March. I have a couple of days to change my specifications, and now I'm worrying!!!!!

I have now convinced myself that I have chosen the right colour and dash, but I'm still thinking that I should have ASC + T.

Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction? Is it really necessary?

Only a few days left to change my mind!!!

Not that necessary to have it-At times it can be annoying and a little too intrusive-but that depends how you drive your MINI-If you got a spare £100 or whatever it is, Go for it

I've got it.

apparently it increases fuel consumption, doesn't save as much tyre wear as you'd think. and yes, it cuts the accelerator occasionally, but i'm glad i have it. there is nothing funnier that putting people in the car, finding a quiet mini roundabout, turning full lock and flooring it!

if it's in your budget, get it. it will increase resale value, and you can always turn it off.
plus if you don't have it, you'll have a rocker switch missing in the cockpit.. ugh!

Spot on, I'm having it so I don't have a blank space where a switch should be!

I don't have it and I have never wished that I did, I kind of like being the one driving the car

The empty space on the rocker switch panel is a problem but I don't have front spots so at least its balanced...

Thanks folks!!!

The empty space on the dashboard warrant the £100 extra alone!!! It will just annoy me if I don't get it.

And as you said, I can always turn it off!!!!

Only 4 weeks to go now, too excited to sleep!!!!

got the asc+t on my cooper i would say it is one of the best £100 upgrades you can get on the car

if you push a front wheel drive car too hard into a bend and try to still accelerate it will slide away from you at the front with the asc+t the light comes on and drives the car
sensibley in a kind of way

funny to drive with in the snow though just had to switch it off as i could not even pull away

It will give you also a 1/2 Quatro drive in the winter

I have ordered it for the wintersports; can save you a chain job in the snow.
(And don't forget moist grass)

To both of you! Glad i could help.. you always regret the things you didn't do.. if you get it and you decide you do not want it, you an actually get it turned off without having to press the switch each time you get in. Not that you'd want to..

Well i dont have it, had my mini for over a year and boy i hate to say it but im glad i didnt have it! My friend has it and he wishes he could have it turned off for ever... doesnt it take reduce your power when accelerating?

dude why not upgrade your spoiler? have a decal? have some other part fitted?

P.S. i cant stress enough to get everything you want fitted at the factory as it will cost you to get things fitted after by your dealer. could fit parts after yourself at your own risk.

I have DSC on my Cooper and it prooved its worth through the winter. If you have the £100 spare, get it. It also fills the gap in your instrument panel hehe

How and by how much? Does turning it off improve your MPG, or is it because of extra weight that fuel consumption is increased?

Think its B....SH..... that it is increasing fuel consumption

It does NOTHING when the wheels are not spinning (99,9 % of the time)
It is only software function or an upgraded computer; it’s a extension of the ABS comp. All sensors are already in the car
