United-Kingdom Losing Sleep Already!

Placed our order 2 weeks ago and have been told 7th of May our Cooper will arrive. That's 7 and 1/2 weeks of sleepless nights drooling over the brochure!!

we've ordered british racing green, white roof with chequered flag transfer, white bonnet stripes and 7 hole 15" wheels.

Going tonight to try on the differnet seats as we've opted for standard but reading here that's a big no no and we've still got a couple of weeks finalise details.

Looking through the options, any idea what the halogen reading light is? Is this instead of the map lights we've got in the pepper pack?

Cheers
Chris

Halogen lamp?

Not sure if the Map lamps are Halogen-But with that Pack you get 2 Extra map reading lights on either side of the Courtesy light which can be turned on and off independantly-I personally have never used them and just use the courtesy light.

And those 7 and a half weeks are totally worth it

Excellant choice, it reminds me of the 'Timeless mini cooper' seen on the mini.co.uk website, if you have not seen it, you will find it under the section "Accessorise your Mini" then select "Mini Characters".

Are you going for the Auxillary Driving Lamps and White wheels?

Saw the one on the mini site, Can't beleive they copied our design!

Can't afford the driving lights yet and decided against the white wheels. Dealer and my lady both said it would look too much so bowed down to peer pressure.

Saw a picture of the reading light as well last night. It's a crappy thing on a flexible arm with a cigarette lighter plug on the end. Not much point as i've got the reading lights in the pepper pack.

52 days to go but dealer said that the dates might come forward so fingers crossed. He delivered a couple last saturday that weren't supposed to hit the production line till yesterday.

Hi,

I paid my deposit for a BRG MCS white white mirrors and a chequered roof 4 weeks ago, and I've still got 8 weeks to wait...

Love the colour scheme, by the way; great minds and all that?

Go for the sports seats. I've had both and the standard are very uncomfortable!

Know how you feel. Ordered mine last Thursday and have been told that as an estimate my delivery date is 15th May! The pain, the torture!!!!

I am sure it will fly past (most of the people on this forum have told me that!). Good colour choice by the way.

Thanks for the compliments. Let's hope we all live far enough apart to make us all unique. I pass about 15 minis on my 10 miles to work each day and not 1 is green and none have a roof decal.

Our delivery has already moved once. we ordered on 1st march and were initially told 15th May. This week it moved to the 7th and they mentioned that it could move to the 1st nearer the time. COME ON KEEP MOVING. I'll have it next week if this keeps happening (maybe a bit optamistic)

At least there's some hope for us mini-owners-to-be

Have fun with the new car - what roof graphic are you going for? i can't make up my mind about one of them.

I ordered my IB MC on the 9th of march and originally i was going to get it 6th of May but they have moved it forward to 16th April - wohoo..

Lots of newly expectant owners here... and lots of variety too. Hope the wait isn't too painful for everybody. I collect mine next Monday and it time seems to have flown by. Been 2 months without a car at all! Very healthy though, had to replace the souls on my two month old pair of boots already! Don't forget to post piccies when you get them.

Red Dwarf has left the room

I've gone the chequered flag transfer on a white roof. Thought about a mod target but didn't think red and blue would go on a green car.

Getting a bit p*ssed off about everyone elses dates moving forward!! Mate at work ordered his cooper 2 weeks after me and was told yesterday, they've a cancellation slot so it will arrive 2 weeks before mine!! 6 weeks insead of my 10!! Ar*e!!

Was looking at putting the cooper S fuel cap on when it comes. Looked at some sites and found unpainted ones for about £75. Rang up BM and total cost for all parts with can of paint is £45-50!
