Hello from Boston, USA!

Hello everyone!

I just got my lovely Chili Red Cooper with Union Jack Roof last week (#6 from the MINI Peabody dealership). And the past week has been soooo much fun! I can't believe the attention it gets - 4 cars stopped by me to talk on my 30minutes commute home!!
But, I haven't seen another one in the Boston, Cambridge, Lexington area yet....are there any out there??

Spent a week there @ end of last year SHOPPING with she who must be obayed, it worked! When we got back to the UK I Bought my Cooper Thank you Boston (Brill Place).

Will the Mini go under one of those Ducks?

Hachomini - Mini Peabody comes highly recommended...I was working with Brig Currie. I had a deposit down back in Nov 2001 and was not expecting a car until the summer - but they had a shipment and rather than building one to order I took one of the pre-spec'd. No regrets...in fact I got most of the stuff I wanted apart from the chrome inserts on the bumper. My long-term plan is to keep hold of the Cooper for 1 year and then get a CooperS.

They have a wait for custom built cars - no idea what is it!

How do you like the drive in the Mini so far?
I am have already made an appointment with Herb Chambers, and planning on going to Peabody as well. Hope I will not have to wait too long!

Great pics and a beautiful car!

Very interesting..........no chrome bumper inserts! I thought all of the pre-spec'd cars came equipped with those , but I guess not. Every Cooper I've seen so far at the local dealer had the inserts.

several cars at MINI Peabosy do not have the chrome bumpers so it doesn't look like they are standard on pre-spec'd - can they be retro-fitted?

I just put a deposit down for the mini at Peabody,MA! Very excited and I can't wait till the car arrives. The dealer says it should arrive in July....hope he's right!

I am deciding on whether or not I should get the leather steering wheel..does anyone have any suggestions. The dealer told me I would have to get the multifunction steering wheel if I wanted leather..is that true because I remember seeing a leather one without it.

The Cooper is available with the leather steering wheel with or without the multi-function (cruise, radio) items. The leather wheel is standard on the Cooper S.
