 June 14th is MINI day - (edit: now the 15th) My dealer rang with the annoucement that my MINI is arriving 14th June! So just spent my lunch hour sorting insurance (What Car/Liverpool Victoria - astoundingly cheap relatively speaking), booking the day off and ordering my shark gill vents off coolnew.co.uk! | Thanks Duckie! Well I am the proud owner of a pair of Shark Gill air vents (great service from coolnew!) all I need now is a MINI to fit them to! 6 days 20 hours and counting! |

 Rats! Dealer called to say car won't be there until 4pm today, rather than waste a day off I swapped my day off to tomorrow and will pick it up at 10am and have a full day of driving....26 more hours!I have worked out the route of my first drive - through the City of London to meet my friend Kev who has a Chilli Red MC, then over Tower Bridge to show it off to my brother and my other half at their offices, then off home to fit my chrome vents, then a spin in the Essex countryside! | OH MY GOD! He is PERFECT (decided it's a bloke MINI) Drove him around Central London on a lovely sunny day over Tower Bridge and all was right with the world! Took him up the M6 to Liverpool today and engine is already showing signs of loosening up and revving more freely now. Harmon Kardon HI-Fi shakes the interior a treat! Got my first flash from a nice woman driving a very similar black/white MC with red interior, just like mine. Going to have a photo session in the Pennines this weekend and will post pics. I am over the moon! |

| Isn't he lovely? More pics in my personal gallery. I've done 800 miles already and the engine is getting much more spritely. And now I have mastered the cruise control, I love it, it's great for the 40mph limit through the M25 roadworks. My brother has just ordered a black Cooper S for August and he is going to get a bodykit and aftermarket wheels so I might get his Cooper S skirts and original wheels. To keep me amused until them, going to buy chrome rings for the speedo and air vents. I have washed the car twice in a week, which is unheard of! The things you do for love...
