United-Kingdom Windows Automatically Closing

Can somebody tell me whether my Mini Cooper (2002) has a shortcut via remote locking key to automatically close the windows when locking the car.

I remember a mate of mine saying that on some cars if you hold down the lock button that the windows would shut, is this the case on Mini's ?? if not is it a programmable function ?

I ask this because I always forget to close the window and then end up having to put my key in the ignition again and close them.

Cheers
Paul

Not via the remote, but you can have it set to (and I think it's the default) do this by holding the key in the door in the lock position.

think default is hold down for 3 secs opens boot only - that what happens with my 02 One anyway - function has changed on later models - best to ask your dealer, hey, might even be in the handbook ..?

We're talking about closing, not opening. Closing doesn't work via remote.

Opening the boot would be the unlock button, not the lock button.

Cheers all, I must have a read through the manual before I post anymore dumb ass questions !! the reason I haven't is because it was the the other half's car but now we have had to be sensible and sell my FR Puma to buy a family car as the wife is expecting our first child.
I must say that it isn't all bad as I am over the moon about the baby plus I also get the Mini, it's also my birthday next week and she has just bought £180 worth of accessories (for the Mini that is !!) What a result eh!!

Hi All,
Not too sure if this is going off subject, but my Mini came back from
having a Clifford G4 300 fitted and now it does it automatically.
Looks really trick, when you pull up and walk away
and blip the car and it all closes up.

Sorry i'm not showing off, just this thread intrested me.

I've always wanted my windows to close when I lock the MINI. I went to the dealer and they said the option wasn't available on my March 2002 Mini.
