| Pretty quiet overall. My biggest complaint would be a faint hissing sound you hear from both the passenger and driver's doors. Seems to be coming from behind you and down low. The all seasons get noisy around 75 to 80 mph too. 2004 Winning Blue Mazda RX-8 |

| No complaints from me either. Much better than any of the rentals I get on business travel. And that's just cabin noise. As for the ride.........forget about it...........MINIs are out of this world!!!!! |

| We were very pleasantly surprised with the smooth, quiet ride in our '04 Cooper CVT. It gets noisier on rough concrete but so do they all. Some of my prior cars were noisier - Integras in particular. "I'm driverphil and I approved this message" |

| Having just returned from a 740 mile trip, about 90% highway, I can say that my MC was impressively quiet and comfortable. Wind noise was very subdued (and the car did not get excessively pushed around by oncoming semitrucks, which I had expected it to), and tire noise from the stock 15's was low. Engine drone was the most noticeable and small speed differences of 1-2 mph raised or lowered the pitch of the droning. But this was not too objectionable, and slipping in a good CD made it go away. The car was quiet enough to enjoy listening to the stock boost CD at reasonable levels - did not have to blast the stereo to hear clearly the musical details. Of course the Cooper is not as quiet as our Volvo sedan, but that's to be expected. All in all very impressive for a hatchback. |

| Road noise seems to depend on the tires, how worn they are. Worn tires are noisy on the road, especially with a rough surface. Had the windshield replaced more than two years ago and while it still seems water tight, I swear there is more wind noise inside the cabin now. Not sure what they could do with it. Only happens at high speeds, of course. The exhaust is now louder as well, just age I suspect but I'll mention it next time I'm at the dealer, in case something has come loose or developed a hole. Not in a bad way mind you, some folks pay good money for a louder exhaust and it is a good throaty note, mostly at a few low and high resonance frequencies, not while cruising. The junk in my door pocket buzzes once in a while. Should really empty it out one of these years... same for the CDs in the glove box for the odd day I don't have the MP3 player plugged in. | I have the exact same problem with both doors. I took it in to the dealer three times and still couldn't get the problem fixed. Each time I bring it in, the noise would be louder than the previous visit. The service manager gave me a very chesseie anaswer " The Mini was design like a roll cage and that is why you can't get rid some of the rattles in the car. It was also design............................................ ..( 10 minutes).................." . I told him the rattles from the door would go away if I place my arm on the door handles and apply pressure to it. It was a totla silence from the service manager. As for the moise, I had to stuff some cardboard paper close to the handles and the rattles are gone. |

No rattles, but I leave the back seats down all the time for my Black Lab,and when she is not laying down in front of the rear vents I hear some road noise, but I just turn up the music |
