Going round roundabouts twice

Since getting my MC I am suffering from irresistable urges to go round roundabouts twice. I can't help myself, anyone else suffer from this affliction?

Have done it a couple of times ( ), but find that I personally am more affected by an irresistible urge to take the longest route possible to get to/from places. It may or may not be related, but this 'longest route' almost always contains a serious stretch of twisty country road, open flowing A-Roads or fast hilly B-roads...

With these strange and inexplicable detours always making my journies longer than anticipated, driving a MINI becomes such a chore...NOT!

Have you been following me???? Its another obsessive trait of owning a mini. Any excuse to 'miss' the exit on a roundabout - The thing is...on the second time round, you have to go twice as fast!

Oh Yes!!!!

Infact its almost madatory when on a South Coast New MINI club run, to take the whole convoy around large roundabouts a few times

i do find myself speeding up on the approach to roundabouts. there are a few near here on dual carriageways with at least 2 lanes on the roundabout & i like nothing more than steaming up the outside lane & whipping past everyone as i exit the roundabout

My MCS has not been delivered yet, but tested one on a couple of occasions. Rep:"What speed are you doing?" Me:" 50mph". Rep:"See this roundabout coming up, Don't slow down, keep it steady, and go round as many times as you like".
Did it first in the dry, and it was fantastic. Did it again later on, in the wet, and went round side ways. No roll, no screaching. I'm a fairly good driver, but never done that before- the car handled beautifully.
I probably know what was going through the minds of the people waiting to get on the roundabout!. Nuts to them.

Best doing roundabouts in someone elses tyres- saves on rubber.

Do the Americans have roundabouts? Shame, eh?

Oh yes I've had a few dirty looks from people waiting to get on roundabouts, but in their bland boxes, they just don't get it do they?

I also suffer from the 'long way home' virus I suffer the M25 for an extra junction so I can have a go on the M11 sliproad - it curves right back on itself like a helter skelter - wahey!

Yeh I love going round roundabouts more than once just to see how much speed I can get up

Its all very well a wide boy in a modded NSX giving it all the big stuff to a little MINI on a straight road but when I get ahead of him at a roundabout it does show him up a little

I go round rondabouts twice, but only by accident normally I do drive home the long way, cos the roads are much more fun

I have gone around roundabouts twice a few times and even if just going round normally I make sure and take them nice and fast. The only problem is most cars seem to go around them about half the speed I can and so within a couple of seconds I am right up someone elses backside and having to slow to a crawl.

I guess most other cars can't handle corners as well - I have noticed how many cars in front trying to go around bends at decent speed seem to be rolling about while my mini is sat planted solidly and with plently of potential mph to spare.

Round and round.....

NO, I don't go around roundabouts twice.

I'd never even thought of doing it in the MINI until I read this thread. Now I've picked up an idea I'm not going to be able to shake off. I will now be going roundabouts twice, three times, maybe even four....

Why do I keep coming back here? I didn't need another obsession and now you've given me one

You lot are a bad influence Think I'm going to have to buy a nice Ford Fiesta, or maybe a CityRover. That ought to cure any interest in cars. I could even go the whole hog, making absolutely certain, and buy a new 1 Series......

Tigger.

Oh no what have you done !!! I'll be going round in circles forever now
