oil level / transmission

hi - i've searched for this on the forums but couldn't find it anywhere. just received a letter from my dealer telling me that mini have identified a potential problem with the oil levels in the transmission on my 05 model cooper (i have it since september 04).

apparently the car needs to be checked over by the garage to check the oil levels and it should take no more than 30 minutes or so. i don't want to spark a panic or anything but i'm just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

neilo - had the same notice last month - took car in they checked and found an appropriate level - but it took them 1 1/2 hrs as opposed to the 30 minutes.

but it's only been a few months. FYI the stuff in the transmission(as far as I know) is known as a fluid, not an oil. Not sure if this just a way to differentiate, or it's just known as transmission fluid here in America. *shrug*
