MINI likes the snow!

Here is my MINI at 6am taking a morning motor through some Minnesota snow. MINI's are amazing in the snow. Warm climate motorers...this is what snow looks like. Added bonus, you get to wash your MINI a lot! Motor on. P.S. Please share your MINI snow pictures.

Looks like fun There hasn't been so much snow this winter here but now we've just had a big snowstorm - about 18 inches. Haven't been out in it yet in the MINI but past experience says it will be a blast

I spent New Year up in Scotland on the shores of Loch Goil. To get to the Loch we had to drive over a few mountains to get down into the valley. On the journey home a few days later, it had snowed really heavily in the area. We set off, and I looked up at the mountain pass thinking 'no way'.

But to my astonishment, the little bugger zipped up the steep snaking roads like there wasn't any snow on there at all! All the way up and back down the other side I was saying to the missus that it was a good job I'd gotten shut of my Miata/MX-5 a few months before. No way would that have gone up there!

We took some pics from inside the car on the way up, I'll post them in a few hours. Stunning scenery, enjoyable driving experience!

UPDATE: As promised!

So much snow here near Lake Geneva!!!! Loving it! last night late, it started to snow after almost a week of no snow, had about 3-4 inches and the trucks haven't been out - I had so much fun driving in that stuff! Handbrake becomes the essential second steering wheel....

More to come this week I hope...

Now we're talkin'! Dead Duck-that must have been one heckofa climb! Glad to hear the MINI can do hills as well as snow. Ezzer-looks like you guys got dumped on! I'm jealous. KPKalle-hang in there, maybe you'll get some snow. We've had it here as late as April! Here's a shot of my MINI on a frozen Minnesota lake....Motor on

Snowless

DeadCanDanceR-I guess Guatalajara probably doesn't sell many Cold Packages! I have to admit, we do escape from time to time to thaw out. This March we're heading to Punta Cana. It will be tough to leave the MINI!

Nope!!!... As a matter of fact I don't think that "Cold Packages" are even available in Mexico's MINI dealerships!
If I ever want to take pictures of my MINI with a slight hint of snow nearby, I'd have to drive about 200 miles to a volcano that has some snow at it's very peak when winters are really harsh! And I doubt that cars (even MINIs) are allowed to get that high!

Hmm, that shot of your MINI looks very much like the scenery in Sweden Another nice pic although it looks like the car is sinking

My missus took that, I think the seat must be on it's lowest setting

BTW - have you tried them on their highest setting?! It's funny

Sweden Scenery must be beautiful, KPKalle. Here is a couple shots on dry land. Trust me, the MINI wasn't sinking. But I got the same impression when I first looked at the picture on the lake. (The right rear tire was still on the lake, the other 3 were up on the boat ramp.) Do you have any MINI shots with Sweden scenery??

DeadCanDanceR-please keep the MINI out of the volcano-Even MINI's have limits!

Don't try this at home

Welcome Matt18. OK-here are some pics of MINI's run along a frozen Minnesota river. Notice the texture on the first pic...look at the tiny dots beyond the side view mirror of the second pic. Full magnification on the 3rd pic. Maybe that SUV will float, but my MINI wasn't going out there!!

We got a bit of snow here in Sweden too last weekend. Here's how my mini looked afterwards. Very "aero"! ;-)

Nice blanket

Bjorn-that is quite an impressive snow blanket on your MINI. We are due for some more snow this weekend! Should be fun. I assume you got a Cold Package on your MINI. Check my little picture...
