Retro fiting computer

Has any one retrofitted the computer on a 2001 (51) reg mini cooper?
I got the document that tells you how to get into the computer system without having the computer installed BUT I was unable to get it to work it only gave me the option to view options 9,10 and 21 has anyone else used this on a 2001 mini cooper without computer?

When you have the OBC retrofitted, BMW have to code it in for you - which enables all of the other option (AFAIK)

How Much is it costing you?
And were are you getting it done?
did you just fit a switch or get the correct stalk?
Was it hard

Well, I snapped my indicator/lights stem off (through stupidity... dont ask ), and that was going to cost me £80 for a new one, so I figured Id pay the extra £50 and get the computer retrofit kit.

The only problem is, my dealer now wants £60 to code it in... other ppl on the forum have had it done for free/alot cheaper. If any1 that reads this has had it done cheaper I would be grateful if they could tell me which dealer they used
