Fitting MCS bumpers to MC

Hi guys,

I'm considering fiitng MCS bumpers and skirts to my MC. Can anyone tell me whether this is a relatively easy swap to perform? and whether any modifications are required? Thanks.

fairly easy job, done it myself in a few hours , the only modification you will have to make is that the fog light sit slightly higher with the cooper S bumpers, so you need to drill three new holes to screw the light into place again a fairly simple job once you have the front bumper off

I found a thread with a picture guide to changing the bumpers, I'll see if I can find it again as for changing the side skirts there is a guide in the FAQ

On the rear, you'll have to swap out the bottom black trim from your bumper and put it on the S bumper to accomodate the side exit exhaust, but that is no big deal.

Thanks for the tips guys but rather than swapping the trip would it not be possible to just fit a cooper-S exhaust on to a copper - there seem to be a few of them around second hand, or would that not fit straight into the space vacated by the cooper exhaust?

From what I understand (I have no first hand knowledge of this), you would have to take out and leave out the spare tire under your Cooper and then there are some brackets or some other metal that is in the way, but I have heard it can be done. There are also some center exit exhausts made for the Cooper, but I'm not sure about the fit. What I mean to say is, you might be in the exact same boat even with a center exit exhaust that is "specially made" for the Cooper. I can say this: it would be much easier to swap the trim pieces. Takes about 5 minutes.
