Try sending R1 a PM , he chipped his Cooper about 12 months ago.
He went the German tuning route via his own laptop

What has the diffrence in power been like? Im intrested in any chip that can blast my car to 4,000rpm quicker for the 'mini-vtec' to kick in or for the 'mini-vtec' to be lower down in the revs! Seems to take ages to get to 4,000, not good when ur.....racing!? Am i allowed to say that on here!? !

Cheers

Andy

Andy, to be honest even a chipped Cooper won't give you what you're after. I chipped mine using the German software method (the name of which we can't mention ) and although it's a little more perky under 4000, you won't get the amazing surge of power that you get from 4,000 onwards.

If you want to try the laptop route, I can lend you the lead.

the MINI has gone...
