I want to add a second set, just for that added security. I did a search and a few people recommend McGard locking nuts. But I'm not sure where to get them or even if you can get them for the new Mini yet.

Thanks.

Check your dealer because I saw they have it for the MINI in the MINI Accessories Brochure.

Locking nuts (bolts actually) are available from your MINI dealer. I think the price is about $30 per set of 4.

I have two sets (two locks per wheel) on my MINI. (Yes, I do not want to lose my 17" S-lites.)

Unfortunately, my dealer supplied the same locking code for both sets, so I'll be returing one set and getting a replacement set with a different code. (Just trying to slow any thieves down a little)

That's exactly what I intend to do. I'm going to use the set I get from Mini and add a third party set as well. I had heard McGard locking nuts were the ones to have, it's just a matter of finding them.

I'll give carvogue.co.uk a try, thanks.

Thanks Potts.

I don't have a clue what size bolts the Mini has. Maybe some Mini2 member out there knows?

The bolts are the very sames ones as used on the BMW 3 and 5 series, so that should help. Also same as Rover 75
(my father's 75 has the little caps with the bmw logo
over the locking nuts).

So just ask for bmw 3 series ones and that will do the job

You gotta drive it like you stole it!!

You can get a set of Thatcham approved locking wheel nuts from CarVogue.co.uk. Helps on insurance I understand.
