Mud Flaps

HI,
I'm Thinking of putting on some Sparco Style Rally Mud Flaps (The Red Ones) on my Chilli Red MC What do you think?

I'm getting tired of having a filthy Mini - every time it rains its gets mucky in 2 seconds flat!!

Has anyone put these on their Mini? If so I wouldn't mind seeing some pics...

If it has an engine.... Race it!!!

This has been discussed on here in the past and general opinion is that the mudflaps make no difference to the amount of muck flicked up onto the car..especailly the back end. ..hth

Sorry but mud flaps make a huge difference.

If you drive fast on wet country roads with lots of muddy about, the water flicks up and is sucked onto the back of the car as it punches through the air.

Without the flaps the rear would get so bad that after a week or so the number plate was unreadable. With the flaps this never happened even after a couple of months.

See if this link works: http://www.mini4mini.com/www/forum/a....php?pic_id=55

I fitted these to the front & back - they definitely cut down the dirt being sucked up onto the rear window. I mostly drive on motorways and the odd blast down some muddy/wet 'b' roads - a marked improvement over running without flaps

Good Luck

Yeap, by just looking at the picture I can see no sign of dirt on the back of your car

Hi Dark Silver Bullet, I have just had the front and back mud flaps put on my Mini by Vines at Redhill, but I`m not sure if they have put them on right. I thought the Back ones replaced a part of the rear wheel trim, but these have been attached to the old trim which makes them stick out. Is this correct ? Would love to hear back.

Hi just read ur Q. I had untill recently the rear mudflaps, they do sort of stick out at the side a bit, but they don't replace any part to the rear trim, just fit over the top of the plastic wheel arch trim.

Here's a pic of mine if u can just about see.. or check my gallery.
