How to remove the plastic lower parts

I want to get my plastic parts on my cooper painted. Because of my budget I want to remove and install the parts by myself. I have good technical skills.
I was told you have to do it with al lot of care because there would be plastic poins which can break of easy. I want to know for sure how to do it, don't want do damage them.

I mean the following parts:
side skirts
half rounds above the wheels
plastic under the front and rear bumper.

So, all around.

Regarding the half rounds above the wheels they have clips that snap when you pull them off, it is possible to save the clips like you say by doing it careful, but easier to buy new ones from the dealer in case they do snap.
If you put your bonnet up and look to the inside of the bonnet where the top wheel arch liner is you will see how the clips are attached, maybe that way you can decide hows best to take them off. I say theres only really one way and thats to pull them off fairly hard, they are designed to snap when you pull them off.
Plastic under the front and rear bumpers screw off i think, you are probably best off taking the bumpers off to do that.
Side skirts are different again, they have screws underneath that have to be removed and also the breakable clips again holding them onto the side of the car. See FAQ and search button for more info on this!

I have not removed the wheel arches.
I have removed two types of plastic clips from the MINI, neither pops off. One kind will have a phillips head pattern on it, you undo them with a screw driver and THEN pop them off. The other kind look like a big plastic washer with like a button in the center of it, well, you gingerly grab the button with a pair of pliers and GENTLY tug it out, the clip them just drops onto your hand.
Whatever you do, look good and hard before doing violent things.....they will only cost you money.
Hope this helps
