Any suggestions!

Just washed up 'Supermini to change the sticker bits on the back of the aero kit, the chrome sticker insert with the black dots, if that makes sense. It is so brittle it won't peel off just snaps in little pieces. Anyone got any ideas how i can unglue it without damaging my car and totally wrecking my nails. It will take me all night at this rate. Is there any product to unglue on cars?

Appreciate any ideas.

Cheers

Ann

Hi Ann,

You can use a product such as "Big Kevs Goo Remover" or anything similar to that, it disolves adhesives but is safe to paint.

Cheers

Big Kev's is no more apparently but conned hubby into going out and grabbing some Orange Power goo remover. Didn't want to get my baby dirty now.

If you apply a little heat with a hair dryer to old stickers they usually peel of fairly simply, then use some clean up such as the stuff you have purchased to remove any excess glue.

Have fun tomorrow, sorry i will miss you guys.

You're right Ann, after 16 years i still get a kick out of seeing people learn a whole new set of driving skills, its just the 4 am start after two nights at 1am and then standing around in 35 degree heat for two days that nearly kills me, in fact, its putting the coat and tie back on for the office job on Monday that is the killer. But i did get to wash the MINI tonight, she is beautiful ! Really wish i was with 100 other MINI's, but the kids need feeding and so does the bank manager!

Roll on next Friday at Eastern Creek and then the Barrington Drive on Sudnay.

Vic
