Fitting 05 bumpers to a 52 plate mini cooper

I have seen some bumpers from a face lift mini for sale which are the right colour and have the chrome on. Can i just swap the bumpers, or are the fixings different between my 52 plate mini and the facelift mini?

If so, do you think it is worth it? Minie is a chili red cooper with the chrome details on the bumpers, or would be more worthwhile investing in a different bumper altogether eg aerokit?

They'll fit no problem - you'll just have to move your lights over Instructions on how to remove bumpers are available on this site, do a search for "bumper removal" or similar

As to whether its worth it - that's up to you really, I personally prefer the "classic" look with the bigger chrome strips, looks cleaner and suits the shape better, but it's all personal opinion

I agree. It is no big deal swapping bumpers over, although the older bumpers are much nicer, particularly if you have the chrome trim on them and the stainless grille on the front bumper really looks the part.

My advice? Don't do it!

I disagree, I prefer the new bumpers!

Just goes to show its all down to personal choice, do what ever you want, it's your MINI!

At the same time, why upgrade to the facelift grille also?
