A Few Mini Mods Which I'm Thinking Of...

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of changing a few bits on my Mini, so please post your views and any pictures if you can find some!

I have the chrome cooper s fuel cap, however I'm thinking of changing the actual cap to black rather than chrome. I've seen this before on Mini 2 galleries however can't find the picture now I'm thinking of changing this as it will match my roof, mirrors, windows. Could some1 tell me on how to paint my fuel cap - not too sure with it being chrome or has anyone had the experience?

I'm going to get the bumpers and skirts colour coded indie blue - Anyone got prices on how much they've paid or pictures (pref indie blue)

Going to change the boot lid handle to black too, it's chrome at the moment however I think changing the fuel cap and boot handle will be a nice touch!
Then after all this i reckon I'm going to get the BK 299s with the black centres and chrome outer rim! - Should set me back a few quid! Thanks everyone, any views & pictures will be appreciated! Cheers, Lewis.

I think the "black" caps you have seen are maybe carbon fibre ones? I have not seen cooper S black ones but have seen some CF ones for sale....I think essentialmini.co.uk do them? Not sure how paint would take to the S chrome cap really....maybe some etching primer like they use on Landrovers (the aluminium has to be etched before paint will take to it). If you went CF then boot handles scoops and stuff are easily available.

If you're going to go with a black cap, I'd get it properly powdercoated rather than painted, it'd look a lot better.
