Black Cooper Cooper S Bumpers & JCW Exhuast?

Hi People,

I did post a message which was similar to this in the cooper section, but didn’t get any replies. (I think this post suits the exterior section!)

Im thinking of changing a few things on my 2006 Mini Cooper. The current spec is here - http://www.mini2.com/forum/mini-coop...ni-cooper.html

Im thinking of changing the facelift cooper bumpers & side skirts to the Cooper S Bumpers/Sideskirts. Although im not too sure about the grille, I currently have the chrome grille so shall I keep this, or install the cooper s black grille?

Also I was thinking of adding the JCW Exhaust system when the bumpers are fitted. Though I would really like the twin centre exhuast still to suit the bumpers. Would you think JCW provide a twin exhaust?

I think it will look very nice. Also has anyone got any pics of an Astro Black Cooper with the S Bumpers e.t.c.

Hopefully can get this idea implemented by august! Any thoughts/comments/suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

I prefer the chrome grill to the body coloured S grill.

Unlikely, you'd be better off going for an aftermarket S exhaust if this is what you wanted to achieve or try and get the JCW exhaust from someone who has changed theirs.

Would that not look identical to an Astro Black Cooper S from the rear and side? Only the front would be different but try a gallery search you may get lucky!

Try and source the parts secondhand in the correct colour. newminiparts may be able to help out. Have you considered the aero kit instead if you're going to all the trouble of installing S bumpers and skirts?

It was acceptable in the 80's

hey there. i have a cooper with cooper S front and rear bumpers, sill covers and grille.

they look much better than the originals.

i was going to get a cooper s exhaust system but decided to get a cusom powerflow system made... think it was just over £300 but makes a change from the millions of twin exhausts out there!

I've got Cooper S Bumpers on my One and they look so much better. What I did was take my original trim from my original bumper so I could still have the side exhaust exit. Easy to do for my age MINI but not sure about the facelift bumpers. These have a different plastic trim than mine so can't say that it would fit or not.

I went for the cooper S black grille on the front as I wanted to run stripes down the grille too.

I have heard that removing the front bumper grille from Cooper S coloured to Cooper chrome is quite tricky. But this must be done if your to leave the chrome on the top part of the grille. Looks strange without matching grilles! Just a point I would observe is that the grills is the facelift Cooper S grille - this is the one with flat chrome around the edges. If you find a old one it will keep with the year of your MINI.

Thanks for the input guys

I like your mini laura, very nice!

Trailboss - Astro Black ... Let me know if u can sort something out thanks

And yes i did think of the aero - but its a bit costly, and the S bumpers are a bit different from the aero's. Also the cost was lower too.

I'd like to have the JCW Exhaust (Centre) but i might go for a custom like yours trailboss. Very nice and something different
