Comfort Opening - Comfort Closing?!?

Hi everyone - I have comfort opening activated on my car which I think is really cool! However It doesn't seem to have comfort closing I've had it on the diagnostics program yet there doesn't seem to be an option for it.

Anyone know why or anything? Cheers

Lewis!

It's not an option, never has been. They do not have sensors to detect body parts or anything else being in the way of a closing window, so they don't allow the option.

if you lock the car with the key in the lock instead of using the remote, it wil close the windows for you

That's true (although that's an option too, so not ALWAYS switched on).

Ahhh, thanks for that!! Yea, figured the key in the door out, was just hoping I could get it done of the remote but guess not! I thought maybe they might have done it with the e46's having it etc. Though my dads 6 Series doesn't have it either which suprised me with how expensive they're.

Thanks again, Lewis!!

There is a kit you can buy to do it, but its not easy to wire if you don't know what you're doing. I've installed on in my car, and love it.

(sorry for the bad quality, its from Dads P&S Kodak )

Great movie, first class. I love the sound of the crickets (?) in the background.

Cicadas actually

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cicadas for more info

Sorry I wasn't more descriptive on the "kit" - I'm using the KPTech Auto Up Kit, which is available through OutMotoring. I'd say its not for the beginner to wire up as it requires good knowledge of using a multimeter, and to be able to follow instructions that are not step by step / with pictures. This works for all Minis, even without the factory alarm system.

If you have got the factory alarm, Mikeythemini sells a kit that does a similar thing (but, from memory, without the key-combo - so I can leave windows open if I want), but from memory it is also harder to wire than this one is.

Well its easier than I thought it was then taking it you still need the alarm for that like your original version?

Personally I like the KPTech one better, because that way I can leave my windows open if I want while still locking the car

true.. on the other side, you have to keep pressing your keyfob yes (for a reasonably long time) ? on mike's one you can walk away, not having to look back if they closed all the way , with a more cool attitude

in combo with the light turning off automaticly that's Mmmm
