Electic Blue S Removing Roof Decals

I have a target on the roof of our MCS and would like to remove it.

1) How best do we do this?

2) If it has been on 3 years will it have marked the roof or will it be discoloured?

3) If discoloured, will it be easy enough to t-cut so it is not noticeable?

Thanks in advance

Warm it up with a hair dryer, or wait 'til it is a hot day and the roof is warm. It should peel off quite easily. To remove any glue residue you can rub it down with spirits or the like.
It shouldn't have marked the roof, but depending on what the weather is like where you are you may have fading in the areas where there was no decal compared to the area beneath the decal. I'm sure the effect could be lessened with a good waxing. Good luck.

Does anyone have advice on exactly what to use to remove any residue on the roof after removing a graphic?

hi

use a degreaser from a motor factors
(they use it to cleans grease off components)

we do decals in work and are constantly
stripping old decals

the brand we use it in work and its called "Upol anti silicone degreaser"
Make sure its not white spirit (do a test somewhere inconpicious)!!
tell them its for a sprayed finish when you buy
its powerful, you wont need much, 500mls would be plently

if the goo is heavy, cover the area in tissue and soak the tissue
with the degreaser and let it work for a few minutes
if its drying out, wet it a bit more, it will wipe off easier

that will definately work, but Im wondering
whether a household window/glass spray would work
may be worth a try

regards

Thanks Four

Any thoughts on if it will leave marks behind where the decals were? Bearing in mind its not a full decal but a series of them placed on the roof ie some of the roof has not covered by decals for 2 years where as other bits have. Im thinking of waethering to the uncovered paint etc.

hi

cant really say, depends on how much sun it got,

what colour is the roof?

i would imagine a fine-cut polish would freshen it up

i had stripes on my cr/w for two years
and no noticable fading had occured

rgds
