Bonnet Stripes

Anyone had a change of mind about their bonnet stripes & taken them off??

Thought about it a couple of times but didn't get round to doing it.

Just wanted to know how difficult its is or if the paint underneath was a different colour to the rest of the bonnet because the paint had faded or anything?? Wouldn't want to take them off to find that i still had bonnet stripes in a slightly different shade of red!

It all depends on how long you've had your stripes on, if they've been on for a very long time, tehn there may be a colour difference that is noticeable, but if they've only been on for a short time, then some T-Cut my help you out

Mine have been on since i got my car, 2 years ago so im guessin their might be a bit of a difference. Has anyone here actually removed them? Just wondered how easy it was?

Took mine off my CR/W MC after about two years. They were a little hard to get off because they ripped into small pieces as I tried to remove them. If I had used a hair dryer to heat them first, they probably would have came off easier. Paint is fine, no color difference. Took a bit to remove all the glue residue, but really not a big problem.

If you want to do it, now is the time. Park the car so that the bonnet gets really hot in the sun and the stripes should peel off easily enough. \they are much more prone to breaking up as they come off if they are not hot enough.
