Fitting badge to the boot - MINI Cooper Forum

Does anyone know what I have to prep the paint work with (ie remove wax etc) before fitting a self sticking badge on top of the paintwork (boot) of my MINI?

All you need to do is give the area a clean with Methylated spirits.

You might want to also give it a quick clay bar to remove any junk thats in the paints "pores" just to give it the best chance too

Is that the same as mineral spirits?
