| They are allowed to be used legally but only as part of the full beams. i.e you can't wire them in to come on with your dipped headlights as this would be an illegal use. Have you got all the wires etc with your Wipacs? where did you get them as im after a set to put on my car |
| ||||
| Ye ive got the wires i bought them with a set 5 1/2" lights of ebay then relised i wanted the 5" spots so i sold the bigger 1's and bought another set of 5" spots with brackets of ebay and kept the wiring! the wiring has its own switch but i dnt think im gunna be cutting a hole anywere for it!! |

| The wiring loom i got is just plain black wire thats all you need really one long lenght so you can cut it upor maybe go to a place likemotorworld or halfrauds etc! then with that you will need an inline fuse and relay! i can make a set of instructions for you if needed! scott |

| Don't worry about the wiring loom....its just a few bits of wire. The inline fuse is one bit you need....the relay is the other bit, you can buy all the parts you need individually from Halfords. Its nothing extravigant at all just normal wire. Theres no mystery in doing the lights at all, as Scott above will tell you.....I was a bit aprehensive and needant have been . It's gotta be yella' |

| i have actually got a wiring loom its off a mini with relay but someone said it goes to ecu then has to be prog by bmw to work? is there anyway of modding this wireing loom to just connect to the high beam wire? |
| |||
| i no the wires that go to the spots there the brown and red, i got a red and white wire with ring connector on then a bunch of brown wires with ring connector on, and a short brown and white wire coming out the relay? |
| |||
| I just installed a set today. bottom connection on relay is live to battery. right hand tab is ground. Left hand tab is main beam on/off which is the blue/yellow wire. Top tab is connection to spotlight. Don;t worry about earth as the bracket earths the light. hope it helps!! |

| you are much better off getting a cheap relay so you can run the spots from the battery with just the power drain from the main lights being to switch the relay. I don't know what problems could be caused by using the main beam power to also do the spots ?! |
