Hi folks,

Mini's back from an extended stay at the BMW garage - details off-line in the pub some day ( You lot still meet in the pub outside the Nissan gates? )

( I'm in the second Ouston, down by chester-le-street ! )

Let me know how the wipacs go - look much nicer than the Hella's! ( And cheaper )

Stew.

Bring it here - I've got a blunt 13mm drill bit that should do...

More helpfully - has anyone got the factory brackets and can measure from the edge of the grill where the drill-holes go and put some piccies in??

Just remembered Hat's got some piccies in his gallery of the Hella brackets, that might help. Not seen the wipac.s so not sure.

Also found this in the gallerys

can you not just splice straight into the main beam wire or do you have to fit a relay and fuse?.

DIY

You need a relay mate for when you are switching the lights on and off....don't let it worry you. I did mine myself and they look great. If anyone is worried about the spacing of the brackets then do what I did and drive round a carpark till you see another mini and dive out with a tape measure!! The brackets actually sit in the correct place when you offer them up through the grill. I was a bit worried too but I needant have been. They are easy to fit. I recon Id be able to do em in an hour now Ive done one set. You feel better too knowing you saved £230 in the price the dealers want to charge......they wanted £300 in Sheffield....nearly choked on my drippin' butty !!!.....ha ha

It's gotta be yella'

Hi all,

I hope I am on the correct thread.

I am after some wipac spots (just the two spots) for my 2004 cooper s (pre facelift).

Few questions!

Where's best to buy them from(links would be great)?
Does the ECU need re-programming for Wipac spots?

Thanx

Wipac spot lights

Just bought a set of spot lamps with fittings for my MIni One, however I have been given no fitting instructions. Cant see a clear way to install.

I have been supplied the following:

- Spot lamps
- x2 metal plates
- all wiring
- x2 brackets

Any suggestions or help?
