Aero side skirt question/problem

Ive just got some second hand aero side skirts and all is fine except they are missing the long plastic sill mounting brackets that sort of extend the part of the skirt that goes under the car and fixes to the sill.these are not available seperatly from bmw.The actual skirts with out these sill mounting brackets/extensions curve under the car about 3" and there for i thought maybe i could silicone /bond the sideskirt to the sill as its a flat surface they sit on and the clips and double sided tape on the top side should more than hold it in place. From what i can see the extra strip thats missing that runs the lenght of the sill is basicaly there to stop crap going behind the skirt .I could perhaps cut a lenght of the old cooper s skirt and pop rivet that to the aero skirt to extend it and then self tap screw it to the sill.As this is all under neith and out of eye shot hopfuly it would be ok.
any other idears?

Thats what i was saying ,bmw dont sell them seperatly, but i think they curve under the car enough to sit on the sill and just be bonded or as i said i could possibly cut and fabricat the extra extension from my old cooper s sills when i remove them, does that sound feesable.

i had the EXACT same problem. Trust me, no one has the sill fixing available...i tried mini and every breakers in the uk.....in the end had them shipped over from america! If i was to do it again, id not buy them and get a propper set. It took me 6 months to track them down in america for the uk! dont bodge it either...it wont work.
