Puzzled as to why you would want people to think that it may not be a Cooper?

In what way does not having a badge make it look like a one
?

Maybe he doesn't , but prefers the look on the rear?

Personally I say go for not having the badge. The car is good enough not to have advertise it on its a*se. I prefer the lines of the vehicle without the additional "bumps".

People who de-badge their cars tend to have the base models, take a look at most debadged 3 series BMWs, they're 316's

If you spec your MINI One highly and de-badge it, you'll have a Cooper to the un-trained eye

the MINI has gone...

Not neccessarily Monsta, you can still tell it's a Cooper because of the chrome trim above the number plate as opposed to a black trim.

I don't agree there! It's all down to personal taste. If you can't even mod MINI's these days, what CAN you mod?!

... and don't say Corsa's, Saxo's, etc...

Im just happy cos i have a one and no-one knows what it is to look at. I dont wanna be a cooper or a S, i just wanna be different. As u can tell by the parts fitted:

1: Chrome trim all except grill (I agree smiffys et al all look great but i think on a black car u can get away with keepin the black)
2: Chrome mesh grill
3: Cooper S side sills
4: Cooper exhaust trim
5: Custom stripes on bonnet and sides
6: Chrome mirrors (Not yet available but will change)
7: 17' OZ super turismo wheels
8: Soon to be done 'One' logo in a new colour change vinyl like the TVR tuscans have (Orange/Yellow/Red) for rear and passenger airbag cover
9: White side lights, indicators
10: more than i can remember

Anyway see the pics to see what stage im upto

I really don't agree with this comment. I find people who don't wish to advertise their car often debadge as well. I think it looks classier and provides an element of intrigue as to what a vehicle actually is. Plus it can deter the thief looking for the top of the range motor.

Anyway I don't think this debate really holds water on whether it's a one or a cooper , as they don't sell the one in the states.
