Question Front grille badge

All,

Does anybody know how the front JohnCooperWorks badge is fitted to the front lower mesh grille next to the number plate?

I want to remove it, but it appears to be part of the mesh, surely it can't be, it must be fixed somehow, but there is no flex on the edges of the badge, so it is well fitted - glue or fastened?

I also want to fit a new badge that is flat aluminium - does anyone know the best approach for fitting this metal to plastic?

Superglue - damage to grill? will it hold the metal?
Silicone Sealant - tried this but the badge pulled off easily.
Drilling and bolting - how do i weld a bolt to aluminium?

Cheers,
K.

I could be wrong; but I believe it is screwed/bolted in from behind (X2: one either side) as I remember seeing an exploded diagram of it somewhere.

So it is bolted in position. Nice work mate.

Now, how do i reach underneath to get at those bolts - (joking) I'll find a way.

K.
