vent removal - help me please!!

Hi

I just wanted to know if anyone knows how to remove the black vents that are situated just infront of the windscreen on the exterior of the car - they are about 12" long and have a mesh/grille appearence? I dont just want to pull at them and potentially damage any retaining clip etc.

Mine is a 2005 MCS convertible

crikey, will give it a go. There feels like there are retaining clips there though......deffo just push? nothing else to remove?

from the top just slide it towards yourself while pushing up from underneath

think he means the pollen vents Jon not the repeaters.

Pollen vents are help in by a couple of nuts on one side

Mine aren't
I pushed mine (Feb 05 model) up and out like Jon said

I changed my pollen vents this year very easy, i put a screw driver in one of the holes and it gently unclips out no screws.

I helped change some on a run and we defiantly unscrewed one side on an 04 S. Maybe we were doing it the long way round but still only took 10 mins

mines an 04 never had any screws / nuts.. nor did my 02 cooper

Likewise - mine were just clipped in (both 2001 One and 2004 Cooper Cabrio)

How To Remove Air Intake Grilles

Insert fingers into grill mesh (as best as possible)
Take a deep breath (optional)
Pull grilles towards you

Congratulations, you have removed a piece of trim from your car
