Changing Roof Colour??

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the colour of your roof from white to black, and if so how much it would cost and how you would do it??

Has anyone done this before??

*OR - has anyone got a picture of a DS Mini with a white roof, but with BLACK bonnet stripes?*
The reason for this is I am looking at buying some black alloy wheels and I feel they might not look so good with white stripes and a white roof??

don't know how muuh that will be but you could get a vinyl wrap on the roof whcih normally cost £100 ex VAT

You should be looking at £3-400 for the roof respray.

Do bear in mind that black roofs can "wrinkle" on very hot days , but it usually goes back to normal in the evening! Worrying when you see it for the first time though

how do you mean - wrinkle -

If you leave it in the direct sun on a very hot day, the black roof absorbs so much heat that, as it expands, it causes shallow, but large "wavelength", distortions in the smooth curve of the roof. You may even be able to see where a strengthening member crosses the centre of the roof (between B pillars) as this part remains smooth.

As the roof cools it simply regains its usual shape and it doesn't seem to cause any long term damage. Phew... Having said that, it's enough to make me not particularly want a black roof

We've parked MINI's together on club outings and it's only the black roof ones that seem to do it.

Thanks for all the replies, that yellow roof is certainly eye catching - like the little swirly pattern on it aswell

Im gonna get a black aero grille and see how that looks with my white roof and white stripes - if it looks silly I might be changing my roof to wrinkley black!

I had the colour of my roof changed to the cars body colour. MINI in Tring did this, cost about £400 all in.
