Clear rear lights - legal issue

Just fitted a set of MINI clear rear lights to my cooper, im aware that i need to fit a set of reflectors to the rear of the car.
I was wondering whether the US style side marker reflectors would cover me in the eyes of the law or do i need to fit another set.

Nope - you need two rear facing reflectors which must be red.

The GP reflectors aren't rear facing and so won't be legal
