Roof fin.

hi guys,

Just got myself a MCS, which i love dearly but i'm desperate to lose the ariel and replace it with a shark fin style one, similar to what they have for sat nav in the BMWs.

Now i've just got back from BMW, and they said they can fit them, but you lose your radio as it'd just be for show, so does anyone know any other ways of getting one on your car?

I've tried ebay and got sent a 'universal' fin that doesn't fit over the mini un-usually big radio stub after you've removed the main part.

Any help would be really appreciated!

haha i suppose i could learn to love it, but alas....for now I want something a little different.

I hate going on ebay, its like some up-market bring'n'buy with so much crap on there!

Any decent shops do them?

Well, if losing the radio is your only concern... there's nothing good on the airwaves anyway.

All the best,

So true re.losing the radio, but there's always that time when you've listened to the same c.ds so many times you just fancy a bit of Scott Mills (not literally!) and you wouldn't have it!

It read as this though:

Streamline your antenna base with this Shark Fin Antenna Cover. Gives your antenna a more aerodynamic look. Simply twist off the antenna and base, install the antenna, and slip the Shark Fin after removing the double stick tape backing. No tools required - a 5 minute installation!

Antenna base only, does not include the antenna. Fits Cooper and Cooper S '02 - '04

So where do you get a ariel small enough to fit UNDER the cover as otherwise you've got an ariel sticking out of the top of the fin, which looks a little.....odd!
