Help Me Please! (Re-spraying Cooper S bumpers)

Hi all

I'm in need of some help really...

Thanks to a very kind MINI2 member (scone) I have now got Cooper S bumpers for my car. The best bit was that he very kindly let me have them for nothing.

Right, so the question is, how much to respray them to as new condition is metallic Astro Black?

The reason I ask is because a very unhelpfull imabciele from a company called 'Car Craft' who my local dealer use for their respaying work has just quoted me £160 per bumper and thats without VAT!

The guy was really rude and dissiterested, his attitude annoyed me so much that there is no way that ANY of my money is going their way

So, hopefully the friendly bunch on here should be able to advise me on a ball park figure?

that is about right tbh, i paid 180 for front aero bumper painting and fitting

Ouch!! I asked my next door neighbour who's a bodyshop manager for a big firm in leeds...he's refurbing my wheels soon. He said about £200 to spray and fit both bumpers. You could probs get it cheaper round here aswell at a decent local bodyshop. I say look round for a decent quote and ask around for a decent sprayer. :-)

Well after getting three local quotes, the most expensive being £540 inc fitting, the cheapest being £290 inc fitting. I have decided to take up the Woodmans deal on the AeroKit inc Aero Spoiler.

So I no longer need to get the S bumpers sprayed...
