Ultra Halo Indicator Lights

Hi

I recently purchased the Halo lights for the front of my MCS whihc light up as a Halo effect and house the indicator light within. I need to buy silver/chrome bulbs for these to avoid the 'fried egg' look to the lights - but anyone know where I can get just the bulbs?

Also has anyone had experience of fitting these to the standard bumper on an MCS...looks like I have to remove the whole bumper to get proper access to the fitting...

grrr

thanks

Mins

Bulbs are available from NewMINIStuff.com
Most people remove the bumper, I never have, I use a very stubby screwdriver.

I did it without removing the bumper, just be prepared to do a lot of swearing, and have a sore hand. I used a stubby screwdriver, and sawed the end off the top

Mind if I ask where you acquired them from? I'm also interested in buying a pair for my MCS.

taking the bumper off is a five minute job, even for someone as mechanically challenged as me. after a good hour of swearing i eventually took the bumper off when fitting mine, mainly because i dropped the screwdriver into a void behind the fog lamps

the only tool you'll need that you might not have to hand is a 8mm socket to unscrew the 2 bolts that are accessed from within the wheel arches, other than that all you need are cross-head screwdriver & a 10mm spanner

DID IT LAST NITE - changed the front indicator lights that is!!

I (liek many others no doubt) swore like I had never sworn before..but in the end I unscrewed the bottom of the bumper off (as I too managed to drop a screw and screwdriver down there - bugger)...and managed to change it like that. I couldnt figure out how to take the whole bumper off - and the Haysnes manual is completely useless at telling you how to do it properly. Grrrr.

Anyways - lights changed and look more modern, funky, and the colour somewhat matches the xenon headlights.

well chuffed...just waiting for the chrome/silver finish bulbs to arrive and I'll be sorted!

Cheers

Min
