Wobbly Wipacs

I fitted Wipac spot lights a couple of weeks ago, a breeze to install and look the nuts, but only drove with them on for the first time last weekend, and although I was expecting them to move, they really do, quite a bit.

It looks like the lights are flickering, and although the the signs are lit up like a christmas tree, it's like they're almost flashing! It was worse on bumpy lans, but even on motorways I still get a far bit of shake. I fitted them with pop rivets, so it is just the bracket wobbling I guess. Is this normal movement, is there anything I can do to reduce it?

Cheers everyone,

James.

I did mine with pop rivets and I can see the odd vibration if I hit a pothole but in normal use they really don't move much at all.

The OEM lamps have a small rubber coated screw which is drilled through the grille. This presses itself onto the lamps and because its applying pressure, it stops pretty much all vibrations. You cant see it, because its behind the lamps themsevles.

Maybe you could try a similar soloution, but it depends if you want to drill your grille or not I suppose.

Regards,

James.
