Programming?

Hey guys i need help...i purchased 4 spot lights and ive rang an auto electrican and he asked if it would need programming after he fitted them...does anyone know what he meant by that...thanks

The OEM spot lights require activation by your dealer or someone with the correct laptop/software.

So yes, they do require programming

Thanks mate...sorry if i sound a bit thick...but i dont know what kind of spots they are...i thought you could just wire them straight to the fogs?

The spot lamps (or extra driving lamps as MINI call them) are wired into the main beam headlights, not the fogs lights.

Yup... even though its a two minute job there's normally a half hour standard labour charge!

What if there not OEM spots will they still need programming,i dont know if they are or not...yeah they are friendly and the amount of money ive spent with them i hope they can help me out
