Got my tints today

Hi, got my windows tints done today by Acousticar in Kibworth, great bunch of guys and very helpful, highly recommended. I got 35% on the 3 rear windows and 50% on the front passenger and drivers side. What do you think. Probably not the best pictures as I took them as it was getting dark.

Cheers
Nick

Very nice, my rear windows are done but not the fronts, ive been meaning to do it but not had time, ive done my last cars myself and got good at this..

Have you typed that wrong above you say 50% on the front and 35% on the rear, why would you get darker on the front than back? i take it as a typo

Scott

You've got a point there. I'm sure that the MINI glass is already slightly tinted to the limits allowed forward from the B pillar. Don't be surprised if you do get stopped in the near future.

Yeah the glass is already slightly tinted as standard and yes the front windows are illegal so I am taking a risk, hence why I only went for 50% as opposed to 35% so they dont look as dark. Its amazing how many cars not minis all makes that I have seen today with tinted windows front and back, I suppose everyone is in the same opinion and are willing to take the risk. I know people who have 35% tints all round and have been driving like that for 2 years with no trouble, its a gamble you take. Likewise when I fit my black and silver plates

Mini windows come with a 5% tint as standard....so anybody tinting there windows will need to take that into consideration.
