DIY HID Replacement Bulbs H7 - 6000K

Hi all,

Quick question thats probs been asked a million time.

I am after upgrading the factory standard H7 xenon bulbs out of my Mini Cooper S 2004 with 6000k xenon bulbs as I understand that they are superior in light quality. Are these legal in the UK and where is best to buy them from and what am I looking for when buying them so I get the correct bulbs for my Mini?

Thanx for the help.

Hi there, these will not be superior in light quality, in fact it will be worse. The only thing is that you will get more of a blue tint to your headlight colour

Here are mine that I did.:

I have recently bought another set off Ebay that are not as blue as this but claim to be 6000k, they were only £30 a pair though.
The ones on that thread were £70.

dont get the cheapo ones for £30 quid. i got some 6000k ones from hids4u.co.uk they are sooo much superior than the standard ones, it gives u so much more light on the road and looks amazing. dont listen to people who have never tried them because they are not speaking from experience of having them. i shall be transferring these bulbs to every car i have with xenons.

The bulb ballasts on the £30 Ebay ones are better quality than the bulbs I got from Hids4u in this thread:

i have experienced them, the lower the kelvin rating the higher the light output.
