Exclamation Appeal To Anyone With Halo Sidelights - Mot

Hey guys - I'm appealing to everyone cos I'm desperate...

My Mini failed its first MOT on Friday, just cos of my Halo sidelights, which I cehcked before I bought them are e marked so should not have had any problems getting them passed...

Anyway, the guy at Mini has said he will pass them with a Certificate from Halo - firstly - does anyone have one? I know that Mikey from New Mini Stuff has mentioned one so I've contacted him but not heard back yet

So yeah, any help before tomorrow would be greatly appreciated, I have my retest at 8am on Monday but will have to replace my old sidelights tomorrow if I can't get something sorted.

Cheers for any help...

Dan

Hi Mike - I emailed you to say thanks as soon as I got the fax through - thanks a lot for that again!!!!

Not been online since so not been able to update anyone - I took the certificate in that Mike kindly faxed over and the box and the guy at Mini was happy with it - he gave me some ***** that he's going to look into it further but I was just like whatever - as long as you pass me!!

Really ******es you off though when you check these things and then they still fail you... this was the ONLY thing wrong as well.

So basically Mike saved me from having to take them out - and I know you can do it without taking the bumper off mate but I can't!! so it would have been a big job!

Got the email was just wondering how you got on - thanks
Note - if anyone has trouble you can pull the LED's out to show the tester, they are just held in by the black rubber bungs you can see at the rear of the light - they are pure white, it seems to be the plastic in the lens that gives a slight blue tint

interesting!! cheers for that - i have been looking at them a lot more recently and they do look blue very bluey white but yeah it must be the tint in the plastic... would look better if they were purer white than blue but still prefer them to my yellow ones which just looked daft below my xenons...
