Gen 2 Black Auxilliary Lamps On Gen 1

Hi guys I noticed a sweet looking gen 2 cooper s in knights mini the other day that had black auxilliary lamps on the grille instead of the chrome wipac ones they looked really nice and I want some for my 52 cooper.

The only thing is that the dealer says that they will only fit the new car, I was thinking that I could get the lamps and run the lights off an independant switch like the minisport ones do, anyone know if this would be possible and whether the mounting bracket will fit my car!

I'm thinking of getting an aerokit soon so the black lamps would look pretty good don't you think??

I seem to remember that Mikey fitted a set of 'R56' Black Spots to a First Gen JCW GP

Might be worth getting his opinion

Nice mikey, did you wire yours up to the stalk or are they running off an independant switch. I was thinking of getting them and running a wire just below the right side of the steering wheel where the beam level dial is and fitting a toggle switch to control them with a fuse box etc in the dash.

Will the brackets fit to the bumper or the grille, questions questions
