R55/56?! Xenon Headlights - Where to find broken ones?

Right I'm after a set of Xenon headlights out of a Mini. I think its the R55 or R56 but I am not too sure. Can someone confirm this for me with the picture below?



I am after the projector inside the lamp so it does not matter if the front lense is cracked / scratched or any other part of the headlight is oblitorated if the projector is still in one piece.

Any ideas on where I would find such an item. I'm a bit loathed to buy a complete good one just to rip it apart! I have tried a load of breakers but no one seems to have the type of light I am after, are they very rare or what?

Hi Jonsen,

That xenon lamp is from an R50/R52/R53 facelift MINI... it should be fairly easy to source either or eBay or a breakers.

Try calling some of the sponsors listed in the directory, they may have some spare parts available. 1320autos do break MINIs, so they're worth a should.

Got a reply from Wollaston saying that the bodyshop HAS to bin all the old parts. What a waste.
