United-Kingdom I need a Mini Xenon Headlamp 'Control Unit' (Ballast advice!!)

Hi everyone, I'm new, bought a 52 plate Mini Cooper S recently, I love it but...

Having problems with the passenger side xenon. It lights, but after ten minutes of driving it flickers and goes out. Turning off and back on again relights it but the problem happens again.

I've spoken to mini and they've told me its the 'control unit' (part number 63127176068) i.e the ballast. But they want £212 for the replacement unit. I assume fitting is pretty easy as they only want £40 for labour.

Therefore does anyone know which type of ballast i need (i.e is it a Hella Ballast Type 3) and where the best place in the UK to source one from!? Need one within the week preferably!

I might as well fit this myself if I can get it cheaper elsewere.

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

Rich

I think you will need one of these:-
Hella Ballasts TYPE 3 OEM D2S D2R*::*HID Ballasts & Starters*::*HIDS4U Ltd - UK's Number 1 HID Conversion Kit Specialists

Unfortunately, it looks like they're out of stock. Still, cheaper than the dealer!

Or buy a whole xenon mini light? I got one for £30 on fleabay and I nabbed the ballast out of it to use on my 52 plate S when the drivers side lamp stopped working.
