Back Box

i was wondering if i would be able to fit a new back box onto my standard mini one exhaust?
and also what would be the choices?

Yep you can have that done no probs give R99 a pm he had his one D fettled powerflow i think.

if it was up to you, what brand would you go for?
e.g scorpion and powerflow

For me i'd go Milltek if your funds allow no experience with Scorpion had a powerflow fitted to another car it was ok think with the powerflow you just need to find a fitter with good experience.

im not sure how much i would have to pay for a back box, i got a quote of £200 for a powerflow which i think is resonable.
what do you think the range would be?

When you say back box do you mean just the back box or cat back £200 seems alot just for a back box, the Milltek for a one is £335 at Lohen and thats cat back, phone around that will give you a good idea of what is reasonable or not.

the 200 is just for the back box, which yes does seem alot for just a back box

would it be a tricky job to install a new back box myself? could someone tell me how i could fit it if its not such a hard job.

unless you have a pipe cutter, fitting a back box yourself could be tricky. However, if you go for a cat-back system it simply bolts off/on (obviously still takes time!).

i have a custom cat-back on my cooper, id go custom over any off the shelf system. it cost me £225 for a fully custom made cat back

ye iv been looking into that aswell but its abit out of my price range rite now. will leave it fro a couple of months maybe.

Can i ask who quoted you your £225 for a fully custom maded cat back, as ive been lookin and this is a good price as i have been gettin £300 and £400 quotes.
