Anyway - calmed down a bit now I have got that off my chest
Some halo info;
As far as I know there is one importer of these halo sidelights - Ultra
I have sold many of them, the price has tumbled over the time they have been out
For the first few years they came with the Ultra LED in them. 2 in each. I asked years back for them to fit 4 LED's or an OEL ring - they said it wasn't financially viable
Although these LED's are very bright white to look at, once in the halo they look slightly blue and a few customers have had MOT trouble
This year they started coming through with a new style LED which was very blue & very dim but ultra sent out a set of replacement LED's for each set bought - these are a new type of white LED & brighter than the originals first used, we at newministuff fit these before we send the lights out as if a customer does it & gets them the wrong way they dont work. We test every unit before it is sent out.
We still wanted a more complete looking ring so on my car I drilled 4 extra small standard LED's into my halos, but it looked a mess from the back with resistors etc & was not really something I could sell.
I managed to get a spare set of wiring looms/bulb holders & LED's from ultra & built my own set with 4 LED's - these are what Damo now has. These look great (although Damo wants to go even further)
Unfortunately Ultra refused to supply me with further parts so I couldn't make any more.

Anyway - today I have found a bulb holder that I think I can use - I have ordered some & will hopefully next week be making more Mikey special Halos

I did state in my post that I am not saying the ebay seller you used is a bedroom seller please see above.
As you say - they are a reputable seller so - they should be able to offer a solution to your problem - have you contacted them?

The Damo edition - if I am succesful with the new parts then yes I will be offering this version for sale

First thing, got nothing against Vecchio but as retailers go you can't beat Mikey when it comes to being reputable

As for the Damo edition, they were almost perfect when mikey sent them but as opposed to having "dim patchs" they had bright spots so changed the LED's further to Damo edition 2.

By Perfect I mean as good as the BMW rings on the new 3 series Coupe.

The 9 LED bulbs I bought had 8 sideways LED's and 1 on the end. These worked better still but still have 4 points brighter due to the end LED's. I'm working on covering up the end LED's on the bulb to stop this however I think the only real way of making them as good is to get LED's all the way round (or glow wire) but most people would be happy with a mikeys 99.8% there solution, where I'm still working on getting my 99.9% to 100% But then I'm a fussy bugger!

As for no pictures, well they're to bright to photograph properly at night and during the day photos shows them up to look quite bad when in fact they lok mint Only way is to see them in the flesh

...I have a "copied off Damo" replica Cooper in Ireland...

...and now a "Damo edition" halo light

Hi Mikey - got these yesterday. From the quote below these should be the newer type, where you install the "whiter" LEDs supplied by Ultra, correct?

How come it looks really blue still? the headlights are the Ultra Halo Headlights (from you as well) with Osram Nightbreaker H1 bulbs.

Cheers for the Silvatech indicator bulbs that were missing from the first order by the way - came today!

They're the new whiter LED's, I can send you the old style blue ones if you like to compare.
I find the halos in the headlights are a yellower light - pity Ultra don't make all their products match
If your not happy with the colour we will always refund you
