GP paint damage above rear wheel arches

I'm getting some scratches above both rear wheel arches.

It appears that the black plastic trim is moving in normal use, and with the road grit being collected, it's leaving numerous light scratches on the paintwork. They are approx 2 - 3mm long and currently quite light.

Anyone had similar problem, or found a cure?

Cheers
