touch up stick

Just bought a touch up stick from BMW that includes paint and laquer. It's only to patch up a few small chips

Does anyone have a good method for getting good results?

Also, do I need to apply a primer first?

Thanks guys

for small chips it isnt worth applying a primer. I've found that the only way to get a good result is to use a fine artists brush. the supplied one is just too big and all the paint runs down it. You also have to work quick cos the paint starts to dry and you cant apply it as well

Yea mate i recently done a few on my bonnet.cocktail stick is what i used. You do have to work fast also.

With mine the next day when propely dry they were sitting very slightly proud so i gave them a little flat an polish with some 2000 wet an dry and now they look perfect. You cant even se them.

As for the laquer you get with them unless its a massive chip i couldnt see much use for it as the paint filled the chip nicely.....

Hope that also helps ya :P
