Black and white plates legal in u.k

hi, cud ne one tell me wether they no if the old style black and white number plates are legal in the u.k and if n e one has n e piccys?????

no they are not legal in the uk on cars registered after 1972 (I think thats the right date)

Anyway, you can have them as 'show plates' but the chance is you'll get nicked if caught driving with them on the road.

On a classic Mini, since the car was virtually unchanged over the 41 years of production, you might just get by for a while.... but when you put them on a newer car, such as the MINI, they'll stand out to the police like a bushy mustache on a supermodel.

(not that the police are looking for supermodels with mustaches )

Monsta,your spot on,anything registered after 31st December 1972 has to have yellow plates on the rear and white on the front,both with black letters and numbers.
